“Been ready since the first fight in UFC” – Glover Teixeira hails Alex Pereira to beat Israel Adesanya in future

Glover Teixeira talks about Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya
If there was a fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira, UFC light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira is putting his money on the Brazilian.
Alex Pereira has burst through the UFC scene with huge expectations as he stands to be the only person on this planet to knockout UFC champion Israel Adesanya in a professional fight. Alex not only has a lot of hype behind him but the light heavyweight champ and veteran fighter Glover Teixeira believes he is the future of the 185-pound division in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
In a recent interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour show, the light heavyweight champ praised his fellow countryman and predicted him to be the next UFC middleweight king. “I think Alex has been ready for Adesanya since his first fight in the UFC. I knew he was going to climb the ladder,” said Teixeira talking to Helwani.
Alex Pereira will be fighting at UFC 276. Pereira will be going against Sean Strickland who has been undefeated as a middleweight fighter. This is going to be a real test for the Brazilian who is currently 2-0 in the new promotion.
“This guy is a genius” Glover Teixeira says Alex Pereira’s fight IQ

According to Glover Teixeira, one of the main reasons for the rise of Pereira is the style of his fighting. “The style makes fights,” said Teixeira to Ariel Helwani. “And Alex is getting better, and better, and better, man. The guy’s IQ, fighting IQ, is so high”
“He’s so smart, you don’t understand. This guy is a genius when it comes to fighting, man. He was ready for Adesanya before he got in the UFC. I don’t think Adesanya has the ground to beat him,” said Teixeira about the matchup between the two middleweight fighters.
