Stephen Thompson, who was born in Simpsonville, South Carolina, has never lost a fight in his professional kickboxing career. He has an impressive record of 57-0. Thompson, many times, was questioned about his transition from kickboxing to mixed martial arts. But now he is a big name in the UFC welterweight division.
Stephen Thompson earlier talked about his life as well, “I’ve been in the sport of martial arts for about 25 years now. My dad owns a school in South Carolina where my siblings and I grew up in. Martial arts was something we all had to do growing up. It was required in our family. I’ve been training since I was young and had my first kickboxing fight when I was only 15 years old.” Now recently he shared one of his fights in a kickboxing mat.
In the video which was shared on Instagram by Stephen Thompson himself, he can be seen commentating on his own old fight in the kickboxing roster. ‘Wonderboy’ narrated the whole video and also revealed that his opponent was the “cockiest fighter” because he sent the news reporter into his locker room to know about how he was planning to defeat him.

Stephen Thompson this time targeting fighter who is on five-fight win streak
Despite being 40 years old, “Wonderboy” Thompson showed that he still has what it takes to win in his last fight against Kevin Holland in December. The fight ended after the fourth round due to a corner stoppage.
Following his victory, Thompson began requesting a match with the number 15-ranked Michel Pereira. Pereira is currently on a five-fight winning streak and is known for his exciting fighting style.
Fight fans and the UFC seem to be supportive of a potential match between Stephen Thompson and Michel Pereira. The UFC is reportedly considering booking this MMA fight for their June pay-per-view event, UFC 289, after both fighters agreed to the bout. It’s unclear who will be the main event or where it will take place.
Michel Pereira has won his last five fights, showcasing an impressive winning streak. The flashy-style fighter has recently adopted a more focused and reserved approach to his fights, which has proven successful. His uniquely adopted fighting style seems to be working well for him.
