The rivalry between Henry Cejudo and Sean O’Malley seems to be heated after their backstage heated altercation at UFC 276. The former double champ has clapped back at O’Malley for his comments at the post-fight press conference.
Sean O’Malley was given the honor of kicking start one of the biggest PPV events of the year at UFC 276. The bantamweight superstar took on Pedro Munhoz in the first fight of the main card and had high hopes of putting on a show for the fans at the T-Mobile Arena. The fight however came to a disappointing end after Pedro was unable to continue following an unintentional eye poke from the Suga Show.
At the post-fight interview, while talking to the media, Sean had an interesting run-in with a legend of the sport, Henry Cejudo. The two fighters talked trash and Cejudo decided to take things to social media after O’Malley called Triple C a “fata**”. Cejudo has never shied away from taking things to Twitter and has asked the rising bantamweight to “bend the knee.”
“I would take him down”- Henry Cejudo talks about his gameplan for his fight against Sean O’Malley
Talking about this incident on The Triple C & The Schmo Show, Henry said, “I just think he thinks he’s better than what he really is, and to me that’s a problem, so I challenged him. I said, ‘What’s up, man? Are you ready?’ He’s like, ‘Cuh-cuh-cuh …’ I should start calling him ‘Stuttering Sean.’ He freaking tripped over his own damn words. But anyways, he doesn’t want this smoke. That would be the worst. It would be like Jake Paul facing Jon Jones. I would eat that dude alive.”
He added, “I think that might be a good tune-up fight, but the goal for me for Sean is to get rid of him in two rounds. Like, don’t make him go past two rounds. So that’s my goal. But he wouldn’t take the fight. Stylistically, I’m just too smart, I’m too experienced, I’m too tough, and I’m definitely too damn good-looking.”
“I would take him down. I would do some nasty things to him. I’d kick that front leg of his and then I’d slowly start putting may hands on him, and that’s the game plan,” Henry concluded.
