Olympic Gold Medalist faced defeat against the featherweight champion at UFC 288. But that defeat is not fair, according to Henry Cejudo. ‘Triple C’ thinks Aljamain Sterling tried to break the MMA rules. Cejudo came out of retirement after three years of long vacations to fight against the champ. The 36-year-old has already revealed his plan to become the first man to have three thrones.

Henry Cejudo comes up with a video where he warns Referee about his upcoming bout at UFC 288. Cejudo was indicating the same act that accidentally made Sterling the featherweight champion. Aljmain Sterling fought Petr Yan for the championship bout at UFC 259. Petr Yan was tackling Aljo, but Sterling stubbornly stayed on the knee touch on the ground.

Funk Master didn’t bother to get up even after having enough space. Yan and Sterling were given a tough fight, but Aljo got the throne due to an illegal knee. Without any grappling from Petr, Aljamain stayed on the ground. Petr Yan tried to pick him up, but the culprit had his knee touching the mat. To keep this under consideration, Henry chooses to reveal to the audience that he did warn Refree.

In the UFC 288 main event, Aljamain was caught in the same illegal knee-baiting position many times. The Olympic gold medalist was smart enough to keep his cool during the provocation. Cejudo was also disheartened by the loss, as he had a serious talk with the UFC president in one corner. Since Henry was coming out of retirement, his plan got halted as he couldn’t secure the win.

In the video, the former champion was getting the tape down on the gloves as Herb Dean reached the dressing room. Later, Henry Cejudo warned the referee, “I think the biggest thing is that they’ll be seeing him kind of taunt the line a little bit, kind of being in a three-point position.”

Evidently, The act Cejudo was indicating was caught many times in the live match. Many MMA fans criticized Aljamain for the provocation act. But as the match didn’t pause to give a warning, the smart tactics of Aljo helped him defend the title with a split decision.

Recently, ‘Triple C’ shut down all the retirement rumors with a new fight callout. Henry Cejudo asked for the fight against Sterling’s friend, Merab Dvalishvili. Both fighters are ready to compete in the octagon but are waiting for the official announcement.
