The friendship between UFC president Dana White and the Former President of the USA blossomed during the early days of Dana’s career at the helm of UFC. It was at a period when the UFC had a bad reputation and it was challenging for the promotion to book avenues for events.

It was then back then when Trump came to the rescue of UFC and offered them a hotel to organize UFC events.  Speaking on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Dana detailed his friendship with the Former President.

He said, “Donald Trump has been such a good friend to me. When we bought this company, this company had such a bad stigma attached to it in sports that we couldn’t even get into venues… And he offered us to come, do the event at the Trump Taj Mahal, cut us a very fair deal.”

Dana further revealed how Trump also congratulated when UFC became a successful business venture. He explained how Trump supported UFC despite the threat of ruining his image.

Several of the former president’s well-known relationships with celebrities and businessmen fell apart while he was campaigning for the presidency in 2016. Dana, though, remained devoted to Trump and took a risk by speaking on his behalf at the Republican National Convention.

The Mar-a-Lago property in Florida was the target of a Federal Bureau of Investigation raid in August. An investigation into the former president’s alleged violations of three federal criminal laws. This included the Espionage Act, which led to the raid, it was permitted by a search warrant.

When Dana White was asked about the whole incident during a UFC press conference, the UFC president stood with his longtime friend and defended him. White said it was crazy how other people should be raided but a former president was getting raided. He said, “It’s madness. The whole world is crazy right now. Without getting political right now, there are 10 other people’s houses that should have been raided before his, that haven’t happened.”

Dana White acknowledged that he didn’t know everything. But, it’s obvious that after the much-discussed raid, he was ready to support his friend. Donald Trump and Dana White have been friends for a long time, and that friendship is not likely to end soon. Trump is surrounded by controversies continually, but White won’t let that stop him from putting himself in danger to support his lifelong pal.
