Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is to make his return soon, as he fights Shannon Briggs in June this year. Recently, the fighter took to X to reaffirm signing the fight contract. He thus makes his boxing debut in Qatar against the heavyweight KO artist. Naturally, it is no mere consequence that the fighter would once again find himself in the spotlight. However, there was a time when Quinton Jackson usually was the subject of weird fan interactions.
Jackson is infamous for his hilarious encounters and his avid passion for Japanese women; in no particular order. But some encounters leave a mark on even the MMA veteran himself. Said encounter was about Jackson’s desirous search for a Japanese woman that went years long. He had talked about it in October last year, speaking to Bobby Green on the ‘JAXXON‘ Podcast. On the same podcast, here’s what he nudged on weird encounters –
They ask me a whole bunch of personal questions, how many Japanese b**ches you f**k? And then I am like...I got my b**ch right here.Rampage Jackson via JAXXON

This was during a segment, which Bear Degidio hosted. Green weighed in on hilarious prison stories, USADA testing pools, and meeting fans. The latter of which spawned the conversation. However, in the segment alone, Jackson mentioned Japan and Japanese people/women 31 times; a record in itself despite his passion on the subject. His love for Japan and Japanese fans being his fave does make him unique, given the differences, which even he noted once.
His plethora of topics included the Japanese language, their economy, taking a Japanese date home first time, and so on. Another factor that incited the weird fan query is his wife Yuki Jackson, a Japanese-American woman. The couple has two children together, Elijah and Naname Nakia Jackson.
Quinton Jackson’s backhanded comedy catches Ariel Helwani off guard
Being an MMA enthusiast, one just knows Quinton Jackson would rock the mic in the most hilarious way possible. From his ludicrous rant on Dana White, piggybacking as the first Conor McGregor. To him going viral in the iconic TUF clip, breaking down a door. “Rampage” does it all on the internet, with his presence.

Conversely, The MMA Hour‘s Ariel Helwani is one of the top journos in the industry. Not afraid to ask tough questions and ponder on any and every situational instance. Jackson recently appeared on his podcast, before his return as a debuting pro boxer.
Check out how his backhanded sly jab at Ian Garry takes Helwani off guard, in the footage below:
The sudden namedrop of Garry as ‘the sensitive salad‘ in the conversation visibly has the steel-hearted journo shook for a moment. Garry has been in recent trouble lately regarding defaming the welterweight’s wife on claims of celebrity ensnaring. This, along with his self-promotional tendencies and interpersonal squabbles, had cost him a string of problems.
Jackson springing upon the name skillfully yet without actually poking fun surprises Helwani to the utmost extent; a prime specialty from Jackson. Funnily enough, this isn’t their first encounter going viral. The duo went viral once after Jackson almost dropped Helwani over a confused lingo.
