Dana White is known for doing interviews and podcasts. This was, however, not the case when he went on Howie Mandel’s podcast. In an unexpected turn of events, Mandel crashed a recent interview with UFC CEO Dana White. The surprise appearance came months after White’s infamous walk-off from Mandel’s podcast.

Tensions seemed to have cooled between the two public figures. White joined esteemed anchor Sage Steele for a lengthy podcast discussion. Towards the end, Steele mistakenly referred to White as Joe Rogan. White burst into laughter at the host’s mistake. Mandel himself emerged at that moment. He joined White on the set. Rather than addressing the previous podcast debacle, the two entertainers bonded over the host’s blunder.

Dana White had revealed earlier that there was one person he didn’t want to be confused about. It was Howie Mandel. When Mandel arrived, White shared a story about getting confused with him by a woman. Mandel suggested that mix-ups happen since he, Rogan, and White were all bald men. Mandel played along with the joke, stating Steele called all her guests “Joe Rogan.”

The friendly banter signaled any past tensions had been smoothed over. Many people speculated the UFC CEO walking out on Mandel’s show was a pre-planned publicity stunt. Their jovial reunion now implied no lingering animosity over the incident. In fact, the surprise appearance hinted that White could eventually return to Mandel’s podcast.

Ferguson quipped that he wouldn’t do any more podcasts as soon as Jackson gave an introduction, and Jackson immediately burst into laughter. He recognized Ferguson was poking fun at the White’s much-discussed walkout from Mandel’s “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast. Ferguson’s walk-off joke showed a willingness to take friendly jabs at White.

Ferguson’s interview was substantive despite the short-lived comedic reference. He opened up more than usual about his fighting career’s status. Ferguson also confirmed he had no plans to retire from MMA anytime soon. He also called out Jake Paul for a fight. While Ferguson briefly mocked White’s podcast incident, his competitive fire clearly still burned.
