“I can’t deny it,” Jon Jones unexpectedly vouches for bitter rival Israel Adesanya to get fashion brand deal
Jon Jones recommends Israel Adesanya to get Brand deals amidst his hatred for the former Middleweight Champion.
Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya
Jon Jones is making media rounds ahead of his heavyweight clash against Ciryl Gane for the UFC heavyweight title. He recently went sneaker shopping with the Complex, which uploads videos of sneaker shopping with many celebrities. While shopping, he had high praise for Israel Adesanya, a fighter he dislikes.
When asked who could be recommended for a sneaker deal, Jon Jones responded, “Israel Adesanya.” Jones believes Adesanya is worthy of such contracts as ‘The Last Stylebender’ is never afraid to step out. Jones also talked about Conor McGregor being another one who is worthy of such deals. It is surprising to see Adesanya get his credit despite all the trash talk in the past, between them.
Adesanya is training for a rematch against Alex Pereira for the UFC middleweight championship. He suffered a TKO loss against Pereira at UFC 281. This is also the third time Adesanya has lost to Pereira, the other being two Kickboxing bouts in the past. Adesanya is still a top fighter in the weight class and could easily take back his title when they fight again at UFC 287.
Henry Cejudo believes Jon Jones “Kills” Israel Adesanya
Former flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo believes Jon Jones destroys Israel Adesanya in a potential fight between them. Jones and Adesanya have been feuding over social media for years, although a potential bout between them never came to fruition. And now it looks like it never will, as Jones is moving up to heavyweight.
Cejudo believes Jones would kill Adesanya in a matchup which would not be close. Such an outright insight from Cejudo comes from the fact that Jones is training with Cejudo in preparation for his heavyweight Debut. Jones will look to capture the UFC heavyweight title and cement his legacy as the GOAT of MMA.
Cejudo, on the other hand, is scheduled to fight Aljamain Sterling for the UFC bantamweight championship in May. Cejudo will look to reclaim the title he never lost. It will be Cejudo’s comeback after being three years away from the Octagon.
