Ilia Topuria, the third-ranked featherweight contender, is preparing for his maiden championship shot at UFC 298. He will face the longtime champion, Alexander Volkanovski, for the featherweight title. However, Topuria has already set his sights on a future fight with Conor McGregor. He revealed his ambition to host a ‘red panty night’ for the Irish superstar at a hypothetical UFC event in Spain.

Topuria made his intentions clear in an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. He declared that after winning the featherweight belt, he wanted to face McGregor. Ilia Topuria pointed out McGregor’s impending fight against Michael Chandler. He feels that if McGregor doesn’t lose, he would be delighted to share the cage with him, potentially at a UFC Spain event.

Conor McGregor, that's the fight I'm looking for. He has a great fight, his upcoming fight with Michael Chandler. If he doesn't get his a** whooped, he will be pleasured to share the octagon with me and maybe in UFC Spain. We're both from Europe and he will be able to [go] back home and tell his wife, 'baby, take out the red panties, Topuria kept us rich'.
