India’s Pawan Maan gets brutally KO’ed by Jeka Saragih on The Road To UFC 2

Pawan Mann will not be able to continue at the road to the UFC

Pawan Maan will be taking on Indonesia’s Jeka Saragih in the road to UFC tournament, a prelude to the UFC 275 PPV. In a long-term qualification tournament, the ultimate winner will be awarded a contract with the premier MMA organization, UFC.

Jeka Sargih is a 11-2 Mixed Martial Artist while Pawan Maan has been a longtime boxer with a record of 7-2-1 in MMA.

Round 1

Round one opens wiih a Jeka high kick followed by a heavy leg kick on Mann. This forces Pawan to go to the clinch where he lands a few good body shots. Jeka successfully trips Mann at the 4-minute mark and is able to keep him down. Jeka unsuccessfully tries to connect a straight armbar that forces Mann to give up his back where he absorbs more shots to the side from Jeka. Following a knee to the spine, Mann tries to create a reversal however fails to get back to his feet. The round ends with Jeka on Mann’s back while looking for openings to sink in a rear-naked choke

Round 2

Mann has to win this round to extend the fight but opens up going for a clinch however he is taken down by Jeka. the referee stops the fight after Maan lands 2 elbows to the back of Jeka’s head, deducting 1 point. Maan continues to go into clinch battles after some shots connect. While inactive and inviting Jeka to grapple, Maan eats heavy kicks to the back of his thigh. The round proceeds with some back and forth while Maan continues to be wary of creating openings or completely committing to his offenses.

Round 3

Jeka starts the round feinting a body kick to land a heavy leg kick that sweeps Maan off his feet. Back up on his feet, Maan is able to land his first meaningful offense as he lands a straight followed by 2 hooks . After some back and forth clinching on the cage, Jeka is able to create separation and land a picture-perfect spinning back fist that knocks Maan out cold.
