Irish superstar Conor McGregor sends out special message for Jewish fans on auspicious day

Conor McGregor has significantly impacted the world of mixed martial arts. McGregor made history by becoming the first UFC fighter to simultaneously hold championships in two weight classes. He has a significant mass following with fans all across the world. He has over 46 million followers on Instagram and over 10 million on Twitter. Recently, he addressed his Jewish fans, wishing them a happy new year.
Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, a two-day holiday typically in September or early October. It marks the beginning of the Jewish High Holy Days. McGregor addressed his Jewish fans in a tweet: “To those that celebrate Rosh Hashana I wish you a healthy happy year ahead.” Some fans expressed their surprise as McGregor did not wish them last year.
Conor McGregor has been out of the fight scene for over two years now. This happened following a devastating leg injury at UFC 264 that resulted in a fractured tibia and fibula. McGregor was rushed to the hospital, where he had surgery. From there on, he recovered and has been preparing for his comeback.
USADA restrictions have posed hurdles in McGregor’s plans. The UFC superstar previously announced on Twitter that he had aimed December to make his long-awaited comeback. Dire fans are highly anticipating his glorious return to the Octagon. Conor McGregor is supposed to make his UFC return in a fight against fellow TUF 31 rival coach, Michael Chander. Their back and forth during TUF had been enticing, and it was a great buildup for the oncoming showdown.

Dana White addressed Conor McGregor’s future in latest statement
There is no doubt that Conor McGregor has not performed at his optimum in a while now. He took a year break back in 2017 after defeating Eddie Alvarez in 2016. McGregor came back with a fight against Khabib Nurmagimedov, which is etched in UFC history as one of the most legendary rivalries. McGregor lost that fight and made a comeback with a win against Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.

He again lost against Dustin Poirier in their rematch at UFC 257. Their trilogy fight was a fierce showdown where McGregor fractured his leg and lost the fight via TKO, although he demanded doctor’s stoppage. UFC President Dana White recently interviewed with Piers Morgan, addressing McGregor’s subpar performance in the last few years and his highly anticipated comeback.
He stated that McGregor is back in the gym training and expected to see the UFC star fighting in the octagon next year. Dana White said that it is hard to maintain the same drive and hunger after a certain level of money because they are no longer the same person. White said that this is what has happened to McGregor.
