Most recently, the UFC blurred out Kamaru Usman‘s shirt in one of the UFC 294 Embedded videos. The reason for this blurring appears to be to prevent any promotion related to Francis Ngannou’s boxing match. Kamaru Usman was seen wearing a shirt with Ngannou’s name on it.

Francis Ngannou‘s departure from the UFC was primarily about the terms of his contract, not just about money. He discussed that the terms the UFC offered did not give him the freedom he desired. This issue with the contract negotiations led to his decision to leave the organization.

Francis Ngannou secured the fight against Tyson Fury after signing with the PFL. The duo are set to have a highly anticipated showdown this October in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Kamaru Usman is fighting against Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294 after a string of consecutive losses. It is speculated that a loss in this fight might result in the end of big-money fights for Kamaru Usman. As such, many have questioned whether Kamaru Usman might switch to the PFL as well if he lost this fight at UFC 294.

After leaving the UFC, Francis Ngannou signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL). This move to the PFL marked a new chapter in his career. As part of his deal, the PFL agreed to pay his opponents a minimum of $2 million per fight, marking a significant increase in fighter compensation compared to many other MMA promotions.

Kamaru Usman boasts an impressive record of 20 wins and three losses in the UFC. However, it is worth noting that all three of his losses have been failed attempts to regain the welterweight title from Leon Edwards. Meanwhile, Kamaru Usman will now headline the co-main event of UFC 294 facing the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi.
