Islam Makhachev the lightweight champion is getting ready for a big fight against Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 294. The fight was offered to Volkanovski on 11-day notice after Makhachev’s initial opponent Charles Oliveira pulled out. Furthermore, it was reported that Oliveira’s injury above his eyes occurred during a sparring session.
