‘I could do your job, you can’t do mine’- Israel Adesanya cautions the media to mindful in their behaviour

Israel Adesanya

Israel Adesanya successfully defended his UFC Middleweight Championship by defeating Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC 276 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Throughout the fight, the champion was primarily limited to leg kicks and jabs, and Cannonier was less of a threat as the crowd booed him intermittently in rounds four and five. Since it was clear who would raise their hand, some people even left early. In the end, Adesanya did not need to take the chance, and Alex Pereira is most likely to challenge him for the middleweight championship next. There wasn’t a knockout to remember.

Adesanya received harsh criticism for his decisive victory against Jared Cannonier in the main event of UFC 276, which was viewed by viewers as a mediocre effort. He stated in the post-fight interview “You guys have a job a job to do and I’m not criticizing you guys in particular, I kinda am. But, just remember this, I can do your job. You could never do my job. Just remember that. I could do your job, trust me. And I appreciate you guys for what you do. Not just for me but for other fighters, man, just be mindful with your words. Be mindful with the way you clickbait. That s—t is weak.
