Adesanya hit back at Vettori for his prediction after his win against Pereira.

Israel Adesanya just fought Alex Pereira at UFC 287 to book a monumental win against the Brazilian. Marvin Vettori, who faced Adesanya in their rematch in UFC 263, gave his prediction prior to the fight.
Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori first faced off against each other in the Octagon in 2018. The bout ended in a split decision in favor of Adesanya. Three years down the line, in 2021, they faced off again at UFC 263. ‘Izzy’ once again took away the fight via a unanimous decision to retain his middleweight title.
Prior to UFC 287, Adesanya had never been able to secure a win against “Poatan.” Vettori was asked his prediction on UFC 287 after having fought Adesanya twice. The Italian sided with Alex Pereira, saying,” Pereira. Pereira — Pereira is going to beat him again. “I see Whittaker getting at Pereira first. So, maybe I get Adesanya after this“
Well, every single bet against Adesanya went in vain when Israel Adesanya smashed the lights out of Alex Pereira to become the UFC Middleweight champion once again.

Israel Adesanya channels inner McGregor in a recent tweet

Israel Adesanya channeled his inner McGregor to diss Marvin Vettori after his iconic win and prove the Italian fighter’s prediction wrong. He tweeted a video where he recorded himself laughing at the Italian, who admitted that he was wrong in his prediction against Adesanya.
Fans on Twitter saw a resemblance to one of Conor McGregor’s iconic videos. They say Israel Adesanya channeled his inner ‘drunk McGregor’ to make fun of Marvin Vettori. Adesanya definitely seems to be relinquishing his victory. He has been very active on social media after the fight, criticizing many naysayers and such. Among all these, there have been rumors of the future of the middleweight title.
Adesanya’s friend Dan Hooker recently tweeted about Adesanya competing in the Light Heavyweight division and ultimately defeating Jon Jones. Adesanya has previously ventured into the LHW division, and the two rivals have had their back and forth. Jon Jones took over the Heavyweight title in his debut match in the division and is challenging former champion Stipe Miocic, often considered the best in the heavyweight division’s history.
