Former middleweight titleholder Israel Adesanya is a man of many arts. He is a kickboxer, a pro-boxer with minimal outings, a pet lover, and even an anime enthusiast. Adding to the list is now a philanthropic endeavor. ‘The Last Stylebender‘, worth $6 million, is now diverting his fight earnings into the “Adesanya Close” Property development and management venture. And he attributes his father to it, crediting him for the effort.

Earning in the $1.79 million bracket, the fighter has quite a net worth. He has had quite an amiable relationship with Alex Pereira, amidst ongoing rivalry. ‘Poatan‘ defeated Adesanya at UFC 281. He won the gold back at UFC 287, via a 2nd-round KO. He earned a paycheck of $3.18 Million, which included $1 Million in base salary. Now he is dedicating his fight earnings with the help of his father.

Here is what he had to say on his YouTube channel:

[On closing out the inaugural ceremony] I'll say something real quick...My dad already said most of it, cause you know, this is his vision. Not just for me...but for the family...Thank you all for everything you've done...through the ups the downs, the smiles and frowns. Cause I know a project like this isn't easy...I just want to say, even personally - thank you, to my dad. I just fund this...he's a guy that that that takes his time to actually be there, day in day out, in touch with everyone who's part of the project.

Israel Adesanya has bagged prime endorsement deals in Puma and Monster Energy. He signed a multi-year deal in 2020, as the face of their Oceania division. His correlation with fight gear supplier Engage is also famed. The avid gaming and anime fan also partnered up with Activision’s Call of Duty® in the same year.

Tall at 24-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC, he also boasts 75 wins/4 losses in GLORY kickboxing, and 5 wins and 1 loss in pro boxing. However, the athletic beast and City Kickboxing Fighter humbly prefers his father Oluwafemi Adesanya to manage his earnings. Much akin to Sean O’Malley trusting his mother, the 185lber values his roots immensely.

Israel Adesanya’s relationship with his parents

Two-time former middleweight champion and 2-division aspirant Israel Adesanya is a reckoning force in his division. He was born on July 22nd, 1989 to parents Oluwafemi Adesanya and Taiwo Adesanya. He is the eldest son and has two brothers & sisters each. Deborah Adesanya, the second eldest, and Samuel Adesanya are nurses. David Adesanya is an accountant, and Bolu Adesanya is just starting out.

While his mother had a knack for nursing, his father was an accountant and manages his finances to this day. This is apparent from The Smart Investment Strategy “Adesanya Close” Project, which is his father’s advice. The fighter is diverting his fighter earnings to build 50 singular community properties. Other than that he also advises him on fights and particular opponents like Paulo Costa and Robert Whittaker.

During the span of his UFC 259 tour, the purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu donned a t-shirt with a snapshot of his father on it. Concurrently, the caption read “Dadesanya”; a joking term of endearment he has given to his father. After his win against Whittaker, he also brought out his family at the post-fight Octagon Interview. Adesanya also gifted his father a Bently GT car worth $210,000. He also gifted a Porsche to his mother. Safe to say, Israel Adesanya’s incredible success can be credited to the deep reverence he has for his family.
