Israel Adesanya is still a fan despite being a fighter so meeting a legend of the past is no less of a huge honor. Adesanya, who’s the current UFC middleweight champion has defended his title a record of 5 times with his last defense being against Jared Cannonier via unanimous decision. Adesanya is next expected to fight his kickboxing nemesis Alex Pereira for his next and most probably the most difficult title defense.

Besides having a well-known combat sports record across, kickboxing, boxing, and MMA, Adesanya is currently the #3 ranked P4P fighter in the official UFC rankings and is one of the highest-paid athletes on the roster. Adesanya is also successful with his Youtube venture through his channel titled FREE STYLEBENDER. Adesanya is a super technical striker born in Nigeria and fighting out of New Zealand, from his gym in City Kickboxing.

Watch this clip below where Adesanya is seen meeting UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre in Ontario, Canada. St-Pierre is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. St-Pierre holds a record for the t-third most title defenses in one run in UFC history (9). For a long time, St-Pierre also held the record for the most UFC wins. Both the combat sports figures can be seen sharing jokes and wisdom over dinner time.

“My love, respect and admiration for this man leveled up a hundred times after this night. Not many people in human existence can relate to my life, I’m happy I was able to connect with a past avatar,” said Adesanya about St-Pierre (via Twitter).

In another follow-up Tweet, Adesanya said “It all makes sense to me. But I’ll share snippets with yous” and then posted a clip from famous anime named “Avatar- The Last Airbender” where Aang is an Avatar who’s gifted with the ability to bend all 4 elements of life as well as connect with his past Avatar, Roku.
