Israel Adesanya believes Sean Strickland might lose the fight against Alex Pereira if the American doesn’t go in with the correct mindset. Strickland is all set to take on Pereira in the fight card of one of biggest Pay-per-view events of the year, UFC 276. The event is going to take place on July 2, 2022, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Strickland is coming into the fight with a solid six fight win streak and will like to continue it until he gets the championship shot. Pereira recently made his UFC debut and won two consecutive fights against Andreas Michailidis and Bruno Silva. The Brazilian has been given a great opportunity to fight the #4 fighter in the division. If he wins the fight, it can be huge for the fighter. What makes Pereira’s story interesting is that has a win over Adesanya in a kickboxing bout in China back in 2016.

Adesanya was recently at the pre-fight press conference of UFC 276 pay-per-view event. While talking with the media, the Middleweight champion was asked about the fight between Strickland and Pereira. While reacting to the question, Adesanya revealed how he thinks the fight might go between those two.

Izzy explained that there is a chance that Strickland can get destroyed by Pereira. According to Izzy, Strickland will have to fight with his ego in order to win the fight or else it would be a huge loss for the fighter.

“F***,, honestly if I’m being honest he might get fucked up, Strickland. If he’s not. If he doesn’t fight with his ego he’ll get f* up,” said Adesanya.

If Izzy manages to defend his championship against Cannonier, there is a huge chance he will have to fight the winner of Strickland vs Pereira. This fight card has the chance to change the whole scenario of the UFC middleweight division. This has increased the excitement of the fight to the next level.
