Many people, former UFC champion, Michael Bisping included, were afraid that the UFC 281 main event was in jeopardy. However, Pereira showing 3 minutes before time was up and making weight, allayed those fears. Many feared that Pereira who cuts a lot of weight to make 185lbs, would miss weight, Bisping too shared that fear.

Michael said that Pereira’s game plan of leaving it till the last minute was a risky one. He said, “If you get it wrong, there’s big consequences. So right now, Izzy’s happy, Izzy’s here rehydrating, Izzy’s on his third meal, and Pereira right now is still feeling like dog shit.”

Bisping also raised questions about Pereira’s endurance. He said that Pereira will definitely be the heavier man coming in, and also the stronger guy. However, he pondered whether he would have the same conditioning as Adesanya, owing to the tough weight cut. All these questions, however, will be answered at UFC 281.
