Francis Ngannou’s future in combat sports after exhausting his UFC contract

In January, Francis took part in the last match of his UFC contract. The UFC deal that Ngannou is under ends in December as well. ‘The Predator has consistently maintained that he’d love to re-sign with the UFC, albeit only if he’s given a pay raise and allowed to compete in the sport of boxing as well.

Prior to his fight with Ciryl Gane at UFC 270, Ngannou was dealing with a ruptured MCL and a damaged ACL. Before he can resume training or even consider returning to the octagon, he must have surgery. The Predator could not be available until November. Jon Jones is planning to compete this year and has his sights set on winning the heavyweight title.
