“I’m going to slam this bitch”- Israel Adesanya sends a warning message to Alex Pereira ahead of UFC 281
Israel Adesanya - Alex Pereira
‘The Last Stylebender’ Israel Adesanya is set to face his kickboxing rival, Alex Pereira on 12th November in MSG. After defeating the then-champion Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 in 2019, the Kiwi has torn through the 185 lbs division. He is still undefeated in the Middleweight division. He recently defended his title against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276 last month.
After turning pro in MMA in 2012, The Last Stylebender has racked up a record of 23-1. His only loss in MMA is against former UFC Lightheavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259. Izzy was attempting to capture the 205 lbs title in order to become the Double Champ. He is currently on a 3 fight win streak after that loss.
After capturing the Middleweight title, Izzy has defended it five times. He has wins over some of the biggest names in the 185 lbs division including Robert Whittaker, Marvin Vettori and Yoel Romero. The Kiwi also successfully handed Paulo Costa his first ever loss in MMA.
On the other hand, #5 Alex Pereira is a Brazilian mixed martial artist. After a successful Kickboxing carrier, Poatan switched to MMA. He is a former Glory Kickboxing middleweight and light heavyweight champion. In his seven professional MMA fights, his record stands at 6-1. His only loss is against Quemuel Ottoni back in 2015, which was his first MMA bout.
