Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, is hoping to get Jon Jones back in the octagon this summer, and he sees Stipe Miocic as the front-runner for his opponent. Jon Jones is set on making his UFC comeback in July, and he isn’t going to waste any time.

Jones has been planning a move to heavyweight for more than two years, and the clock appears to be ticking on his return. Championship movement at heavyweight has been idle since Ngannou’s title defense over Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in January, but White’s comments indicate the situation could be progressing.

Jon tweeted out the following regarding the matter, he stated, “Stipe is saying that he will be at his absolute peak in September. I’m disappointed but patient, I want the heavyweight goat at his absolute best. I’ll wait until September. No excuses” Most likely these two legends would square off and give the fans a treat
