Jake Paul returned to the winning column after defeating Nate Diaz in Texas. His victory over Diaz is the 7th win of his career. Paul has defeated four outstanding UFC fighters in his boxing career. This bout with Diaz took place on the 5th of August this month, after much anticipation. Throughout the pre-fight promotion process, Nate Diaz seemed utterly disinterested. Diaz also walked out several times mid-way through an interview and promotion.

Recently featuring on his brother Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive, Jake commented on the power of Nate Diaz. He was not impressed as Diaz’s punches were not effective on him. Jake Paul also took the opportunity to fire shots at Conor McGregor. According to Jake, McGregor got wobbled by Diaz in their iconic fights. Paul said, “I could’ve stood there with my chin out and taken the shots,” mocking Nate’s power.

Since the beginning of his boxing career, Jake Paul has hunted for the biggest names in the fight game. His taunts at McGregor seem futile and have now shifted onto a new target, Canelo Alvarez. However, the undisputed champion at Super middleweight may be far from Jake’s reach. Keeping aside all potential candidates, Logan Paul indicated a desire to compete against Nick Diaz in the boxing ring.

Even though the boxing bout ended in Nate’s defeat, he has the gift of winning over the fans. They applauded when Nate caught Paul in a guillotine choke. At the end of the fight, he attempted a standing guillotine, and the fans loved it. Diaz and Jake Paul could fight each other in MMA if Nate decides to compete in the PFL.

Everybody knows that Conor McGregor is the cash cow of Combat Sports. Jake Paul has attempted the money fight against McGregor for a long time. The rumors for a 50 million fight were surely not enough for McGregor to take the deal. The truth of the matter remains that McGregor is just not interested. McGregor’s previous fight purses include about $100 million against Floyd Mayweather.

Contrary to Conor’s disinterest, Paul continues to pursue him. Citing the UFC legend’s recent clashes with the law, Paul said, “Right now he is worried about being a free man.” Now that Paul has got the win over Nate Diaz, he has significant leverage over Conor. The world had witnessed Diaz pull off the upset against McGregor at UFC 196.

Currently, Jake is still on the lookout for his next opponent. There have been talks about a potential MMA match-up with Diaz again, but it remains unsure at the moment. On the other hand, McGregor is occupied with The Ultimate Fighter and a future bout with Michael Chandler. He is set to fight Michael Chandler later this year or early next year.
