“Happens when u don’t treat employees”- Jake Paul lashes out at the UFC as Endeavor Group’s stock falls aggressively

Jake Paul interview
UFC has been under scrutiny for quite some time now and this time it is Jake Paul who has blamed UFC for its misdemeanour. UFC has been accused of not treating their fighters good compared to other promotions such as Bellator, PFL and ONE championship.
While Big stars such as Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Jon Jones make an enormous sum of money in UFC, most of the fighters feel they are underpaid. Compared to other sports such as Boxing, UFC payout has been significantly low. The top boxers can get paid multi-millions of dollars per fight, whilst top UFC fighters get paid a mere couple of hundred thousand.

Fighters have constantly made appeals to the UFC and its president, Dana White, for an increase in their pay. However, Dana White has always insisted that his athletes are compensated well. Dana, in retaliation, took a hit at Boxers and said that they are actually overpaid and this is not how you build a sport.
Dana, in an interview with The Pivot Podcast, said: “Everybody wants more money. And one of the big problems with boxing too, is that all those f****** guys are overpaid, and every time they put on a fight, it’s a going-out-of-business sale. We’re just trying to get as much f****** money as we can from you guys, and then we’re out of here. We’ll see you in three years.”
Dana further added, “You can’t build a league like that. You can’t build a sport. You can’t have 750 fighters under contract, making money, feeding their families every year, with that kind of mentality. It doesn’t work. You have to run a business.”

Jake Paul continues his onslaught on Dana White

Many fighters, such as Tony Ferguson, Francis Ngannou, have raised their voice against being underpaid and have demanded to be paid more. The YouTuber turned boxer jake paul has shown his support for Fighters in UFC and has been constantly calling out Dana and asking him to pay the fighters what they “deserve”.
Jake paul reportedly invested in Endeavor Group, UFC’s parent company, with the goal of increasing fighter pay and healthcare. Jake tweeted:” I’ve invested in EDR (UFC) stock with my partner @geoffreywoo 2 focus on UFCs ESG standards relating to fighters. We believe EDR can drive long-term economic value by increasing UFC fighter pay & providing them healthcare. Reaching out to @EngineNo_1 to partner on this “endeavor.”
However, EDR stock recently saw down hill which according to jake was because of UFC’s mistreatment with its fighters. Jake tweeted: “-46% happens when u don’t treat employees / fighters fairly. I invested in EDR / UFC in January. Things r getting worse unless there’s change. UFC fighters have never been more powerful, to band together & not fight. It will CRUSH the stock & force UFC to treat fighters betr!”
