Jorge Masvidal announced retirement after his bout with Gilbert Burns at UFC 287. Now, after almost 8 months, ‘Gamebred’ shocked the fighting world by announcing a comeback. As such, fight fans were thrilled to see the former BMF champion in action. However, Youtuber-turned boxer Jake Paul had very little to no interest. Moreover, he casually leaked Masvidal’s comeback fight to be against Nate Diaz.

After Jorge Masvidal announced his comeback on X, Jake Paul commented on the tweet mentioning ‘Gamebred’ was to take on Nate Diaz in a boxing bout. Further, he texted in a tone that expressed disinterest in the matchup. However, he deleted the tweet soon after for unknown reasons. That made the fighting world think it was leaked information. As such, here is what Paul wrote in his now-deleted tweet:

Yeah yeah. Going to box Nate Diaz...Whatever. Come see me when Dana gives you permission.

Jake Paul further in the tweet trolled Jorge Masvidal with a reference to UFC fighters getting permission from their boss Dana White. Since the tweet was deleted, there has been no response from Masvidal.

However, fight fans welcomed the idea of ‘Gamebred’ boxing Nate Diaz. Especially, with a history of a BMF championship fight between them, a second outing would highly gain the attention of the combat fans.

Jorge Masvidal retired in April 2023 after losing to Gilbert Burns. That marked his fourth consecutive loss in the UFC and ‘Gamebred’ decided to hang up his gloves. However, he announced a comeback and now was rumored to fight Nate Diaz.

While many thought they might rematch in the UFC and potentially be in the historic card of UFC 300, Jake Paul leaked it to be a boxing bout. However, since no official news has been made, these were written off as just speculation.

Fans react to Jake Paul’s deleted tweet mentioning Jorge Masvidal’s comeback to fight Nate Diaz

As of today, Jorge Masvidal has re-entered the fighting world as an athlete. In his recent tweet, he announced his comeback from retirement. But, he gave no additional information about his comeback fight and just bluntly stated ‘unretired’. However, influencer cum boxer Jake Paul leaked information about Masvidal’s fight. As such, he mentioned ‘Gamebred’ taking on Nate Diaz in a boxing bout.

Earlier, Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal met inside the octagon in UFC 244. The bout was contested to crown the first BMF champion of the UFC. As such, Masvidal earned the title via doctors stoppage. Soon, fans wanted to see the rematch but before it could happen, both the fighters went their separate ways.

However, if the tweet from Jake Paul was to be believed, the two would cross paths in the boxing ring soon. As such, this had fight fans excited. Here are some interesting reactions:

While a few didn’t believe Jake Paul’s tweet, others speculated it would be great to see the UFC legends square up. Nate Diaz already ventured into boxing with his fight against Jake Paul last year. So, it would be Masvidal who has to tune things a little bit. Although the matchup was just speculation, it may not be a surprise because most of the ex-MMA fighters go into boxing in the later part of their career for a ‘pay-day’.
