Seeing him in the hospital messed me up. Kinda like, Dang, I really took years off this man's life. He can't be with his family, he had to get surgery. I felt so bad. So, that played on my head for a while...That's one of the reasons why I took a bit of time off for my mental. I had a lot of stuff mentally going on. Affected me a lot.Jalin Turner via UFC Austin media day
Dan Hooker injured his hand during the fight with Jalin Turner. He got the surgery done and was ready to get back to the octagon this weekend against Bobby Green. But, unfortunately, he injured the same hand while training a week ago. So, he pulled, and his last opponent Turner, stepped up on short notice.
Even though Dan Hooker broke his arm, he won the fight against ‘The Tarantula’ via a split decision. The two shared a wholesome pic after the fight in the hospital. Now, ‘The Hangman’ was back in the hospital to fix his hand while Turner was back in the octagon to fight.
Jalin Turner revealed he had to cut about 25 pounds for his fight with Bobby Green
Bobby Green was scheduled to face Dan Hooker on UFC Austin. However, things took a turn when ‘The Hangman’ injured himself during training. So, Jalin Turner stepped up on short notice to face the UFC veteran. However, he had a long way to make weight as he had to cut around 25 pounds in a week.
Jalin Turner appeared on the ‘Jaxxon Podcast’ hosted by former UFC fighter Rampage Jackson. ‘The Tarantula’ revealed that he walks around at 180lbs, over the welterweight limit. However, he fought at lightweight, and Jackson was stunned to know this. He looked confident about it with just a week to drop the weight off. Check out what Turner said below:
However, Jackson shared his input about the cardio disadvantage while cutting a lot of weight. As such, Jalin Turner had issues with his cardio, even in his last fight with Dan Hooker.
