Former champion, Jamahal Hill will make his much-awaited comeback at UFC 300. Hill has claimed that he has not yet performed at his best even after winning the title last year.
Here is what happened: Jamahal Hill recently did an interview with Kevin Iole. In the detailed interview, Hill spoke about his untapped potential and his fight with Glover Texeira.

Hill while sharing his thoughts, said,
That was five weeks' notice, off the couch. I weighed 246 pounds when I took the call to fight Glover. So I just got into camp, got in the best shape and as ready as possible, went there and that's what I did. Do I think that's the best I can do? Not even close. That barely scratched the surface.
Hill is a former UFC light heavyweight champion. He asserted that his title win against Glover Teixeira merely scratched the surface of his potential and believes there is much more he can show inside the octagon. He further emphasized that he performed remarkably even without extensive preparation. The 32-year-old suggested that he would perform even better with proper training and conditioning. Hill currently ranks 10th in the UFC light heavyweight rankings with a professional record of 12-1-0 (1 NC).
Jamahal Hill faced Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title. The former dominated the fight with his striking and won via unanimous decision. He had secured three consecutive wins leading up to the bout, including first-round knockouts against Jimmy Crute and Johnny Walker. Teixeira announced his retirement during the post-fight interview.
Jamahal Hill believes he is superior to Alex Pereira
Jamahal Hill is set to challenge Alex Pereira for his title at UFC 300. Hill is confident that he will beat the Brazilian and has claimed to be superior to Pereira in every aspect of the sport.

The UFC 300 headliner between Hill and Pereira was recently agreed upon. The former believes that he is a better striker, grappler, clinch worker, and thinker than Pereira. He also said that he has a better understanding of MMA and that he will prove his superiority at UFC 300.
Meanwhile, Pereira is a KO artist who has proved himself multiple times in the kickboxing and the octagon. However, Hill believes that he has the skills to defeat Pereira in any aspect of the sport. Thus, the upcoming fight between Hill and Pereira is shaping up to be an exciting one.
