Jiri Prochazka‘s determination to defeat Alex Pereira is crystal clear. Prochazka sets his sights on replicating the fate of Poatan’s mentor while facing off against Alex Pereira. The MMA veteran boasts an unblemished 3-0 streak within the UFC. On the other side stands the emerging light heavyweight contender, Pereira, who recently bagged his firsts victory in the division.
The stakes couldn’t be higher as these two titans prepare to battle for the vacant championship title. Prochazka seeks to reclaim the coveted 205-pound belt. Meanwhile, Pereira’s journey took a major leap forward after his triumph against Jan Blachowicz at UFC 291.
Prochazka’s last title victory came via submission over Glover Teixeira. And he is determined to employ the same strategy against Pereira, should the opportunity arise.
Reflecting on Alex Pereira’s skill set, Prochazka acknowledges, “I think he has one of the best striking (games) at middleweight,” Prochazka told The AllStar. As the contest shifts to light heavyweight, Prochazka is more confident in his ability. “Light heavyweight, we will see. I’m ready…if I have to choke him, I will choke him”.
Jiri Prochazka contemplates Alex Pereira’s title shot after just one fight in the division

While Prochazka doesn’t express complete astonishment, he wholeheartedly comprehends why the Brazilian has earned a rapid ascent to a title shot. “He was on top in the middleweight,” Prochazka said. ” So I think he deserves some top position in light heavyweight”. “He defeated Jan Blachowicz. It was not 100 percent for that, but OK, he defeat him so here is the title fight,” he emphasized.
The anticipation is palpable as the title clash between Prochazka and Pereira draws closer. Prochazka wished the showdown to take place before the year concludes. This would allow him ample time to nurse his shoulder back to full health. “We speak about the date with the UFC, and I hope it will be this year,” Prochazka said. ” I still have enough time to totally recover myself…It’s about evolution”.
Jiri Prochazka is eager to bag the light heavyweight title and he will not let the division newbie stand in his way. As the fight looms near, people are highly anticipating this exciting matchup.
