“He is worth like a $150 million!” Joe Rogan and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson STUNNED at Christian Bale driving Toyota pickup truck

Joe Rogan and Hollywood superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had an interesting conversation on JRE last year. The two spoke about a wide array of things from Johnson’s career to political aspirations. On a tangent, when speaking about their car collections, Rogan pointed out that the marquee actor, Christian Bale still used a Toyota.

Dwayne Johnson presumed it was before Christian Bale’s success in the film industry. To his surprise, Joe Rogan mentioned Bale was worth around 150 million dollars and still used the car. As such, he named the model to be ‘2003 Toyota Tacoma’. Further, he praised the actor for not obsessing over materialistic things and applauded his simplistic nature. Here is what he said:

Christain Bale drives around in a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Christain Bale is worth like a $150 million. No, no, right now, that's what he drives around in. He says it's a good car, never breaks. He's like if someone needs to carry something, I can put it in the back. He's an artist, he's just pragmatic. He's not interested in material possession.

Joe Rogan is an avid automobile fan. Once, he had an interesting conversation with Tesla founder Elon Musk about automobiles and the Cybertruck. As such, he and Dwayne Johnson conversed about car collections and it led to the UFC commentator revealing Christian Bale driving a Toyota. Then, ‘The Rock’ recalled getting his first car, a land cruiser when he entered the wrestling scene.

Joe Rogan looks back on Christian Bale’s transformation for The Machinist

The Hollywood star, Christian Bale was known for his physical transformations. He altered his physique from movie to movie depending on the character he played. As such, in the 2004 film ‘The Machinist’, the actor starved for days to portray a malnourished insomniac person. This received a reaction from Joe Rogan who looked back on Bale’s transformation.

In an episode of the JRE Podcast, Joe Rogan claimed Christian Bale was on ‘Death’s Door’ trying to starve himself to lose an unnatural amount of weight. He lost almost 62 lbs to play the character at just 120 lbs. As such, he was awestruck by the actor’s dedication and what he pulled off. But, he was equally critical about putting the body through such rigorous transformation and stated how fellow actor Matthew McConaughey struggled from a similar situation. Here is what he said:

Christain Bale got to death's door man. He looked so bad! That image of him in the Machinist, like that with his arms were splayed like a bird. He looks like he was on death's door. Like that looked like a person who's been starved in a concentration camp. It's very crazy to do, but he seems to be okay with it. But, I know McConaughey really got hurt from Dallas Buyer Club.

Further, Joe Rogan was shell-shocked by Christian Bale making a complete changeover to play the Batman afterward. As such, although he was critical of the effects it had on health, he appreciated the actor’s dedication. Also, the criticism only proved Bale portrayed the character to perfection.
