UFC’s colour commentator, comedian and podcast kingpin Joe Rogan is not afraid of expressing his thoughts on a global level that his podcast presents, and therefore is a staunch supporter of making social media giants free-speech incorporated. Rogan, who was earlier this year caught in a round of controversies from being associated with spreading misinformation on Covid-19 to being caught using a racial slur more than a decade ago.

However, Rogan is free of them all and has recently been seen back on UFC’s commentary team after having huge support from the fighters, fans and authorities of the world’s biggest MMA organization when he was stuck for contentious issues earlier in 2022. Rogan’s podcast is the leading podcast to listen to in the world where he invites guests like famous comedians like Joey Diaz and Kevin Hart, fighters like Stephen Thompson and visionaries of technological advancement like Elon Musk.

In an interview with comedian Hotep Jesus on Episode #1817, Rogan talks about his thoughts on Twitter before Tesla and SpaceX’s CEO Elon Musk took over buying the social media giant.

“They’ve been holding you back,” Rogan said. “They’ve probably been holding a lot of people back. They think they’re morally right to do that. And it’s um, it’s a weird position to be in to have that kind of power. When you’re dealing with essentially what’s the world’s town hall. You know, I mean, that’s really what it is. It’s like it’s the world’s place to express ideas. And it’s been curated by a bunch of dorks.” [h/t Mediate]

After Musk’s deal Rogan has seen a major engagement change on his Twitter account. “I gained 700,000 Twitter followers in two weeks,” Rogan added.
