There is no doubt that Francis Ngannou had major issues with the UFC during his time in the promotion. Ngannou has always been an advocate for better pay and treatment for MMA fighters. However, due to salary issues with the UFC, Ngannou left the promotion in early 2023. He recently discussed the difference between the salaries of the UFC and the PFL with Joe Rogan.
During his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience, Ngannou spoke on a variety of topics with Rogan. While discussing about Ngannou’s time in the UFC, the cameroonian mad a shocking revelation. He said, “For one fight in the PFL, im gonna be making three times of what i made in my entire career.” Rogan then asked Ngannou about the money offered by the UFC to sign him. Ngannou replied, “It was good but….the terms”
Rogan and Ngannou then discussed on how the PFL has so much money to pay the fighters. Ngannou then revealed that there will be a super PPV fight that will be a huge event when he fights. He then went on to reveal that Influencer boxer Jake Paul will also be fighting on the card. Paul recently signed a deal with the PFL to pursue his MMA dreams.
Rogan has been a huge fan of Ngannou and was highly disappointed when the Cameroonian left the UFC. Ngannou is one of the most dominant fighters and was a fan favorite during his time in the UFC. Fans will look forward to seeing Ngannou comepete in the PFL.
Francis Ngannou tells Joe Rogan about his potential opponents salary in PFL
Ngannou is one of the scariest fighters in MMA. He is known for his scary demeanor and massive size, However, Ngannou is known to be a vocal advocate for fighters pay and increment. He has had multiple disputes with the UFC regarding the same. However, he has planned out a proper salary for his opponents in the PFL too.
During his appearance on Rogan’s podcast, the UFC commentator asked Ngannou if he has negotiated a purse for his opponents. Ngannou said that he doesn’t want to be the guy who is just fighting for the money. He believes that the fight would not be possible without his opponent. Ngannou revealed that he has set a minimum of $2 million for his opponent.
However, the purse of $2 million dollars can be changed if the opponent wants to negotiate for more. This humble and kind side of Ngannou is loved by the fans who appreciate him. Fans will look forward to seeing Ngannou back in the cage soon.
