Joe Rogan remembered the woeful moment alongside rapper Jelly Roll.

He [Evan Tanner] was a very interesting guy. He would go on a walkabout to try to find himself and he did one in Death Valley. And, heat stroke apparently, you can’t think straight. So, he couldn’t figure out where it was. Then, he died. When an interesting dude winds up dying in a way that’s unfortunate and preventable, it’s like f*** man. He had a very different take on why he was a fighter. He was trying to find him through this,” said Joe Rogan as he broke down in tears.

The podcast host Joe Rogan is known to have interviewed thousands of fighters after their bouts. However, the times when he broke down in tears for the fighters are limited. On an episode of ‘Joe Rogan Experience,’ the UFC commentator explained the first interview he shed tears at. He revealed it to be the Rose Namajunas‘ head kick victory against Weili Zhang.

They give her [Rose Namajunas] the title and I talk to her about it. When I’m talking to her, she’s emotional, she’s crying and I cried. This is the first time I ever cried during an interview. She’s a great example. When she won the title the first time, when I was interviewing her, she says, ‘We have to be better people.’ In the cage, after winning a fight, that was her message,” explained Joe Rogan as he teared up.
