Joe Rogan did not commentate at UFC 297, the first PPV of 2024. UFC 297 happened in Canada, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is someone that Rogan does not endorse. This is due to the policies made by Trudeau, which Rogan found to threaten freedom. The anti-Trudeau sentiment was very evident at UFC 297. However, Rogan will join the commentary booth at UFC 298, the upcoming PPV.

UFC 298 is in Anaheim, California, a state of the USA that Rogan despises. Rogan was a resident of California but now calls Austin, Texas, his home. Rogan saw California Governor Gavin Newsom in the same light as Trudeau. It was one of the reasons why he despised California. Rogan lamented his plight to go to California for UFC 298 in his recent podcast episode with Aaron Rodgers. This is what he said about it.

I mean, it's one of the rare times I go back to that communist sh*t hole commonly known as California. That f*cking place is so cr*zy, you know. You can't get these. I had a friend of mine, my friend Mosha, was here the other day, and he's like, "Oh, you have flavored nicotine? Imagine, you can't get flavored nicotine!

Rogan further bashed California’s policy to ban internal combustion engines by 2035. He saw the policies of the state as a way to control people. Rogan went on to praise Texas, which supplies most of the gas for the USA. He also stated that some people want Texas to be a country of its own. However, Rogan clarified that he was not one of them.

Even though Rogan lamented his upcoming trip to California for UFC 298, the PPV has high-caliber fights. Rogan is a fight fan first and foremost, and the UFC has filled the PPV with amazing matchups. Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria are in the main event, with Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa in the co-main event. Moreover, Merab Dvalishvili, Henry Cejudo, Geoff Neal, and Ian Garry are on the main card.

On his recent podcast episode, Rogan revealed that two of his friends faced side effects of taking the vaccination. He stated that two of his friends now have to wear a peacemaker. Aaron Rodgers was the guest on the podcast and also agreed with the assessment. Rodgers is one of the most famous athletes in the UFC who did not take the COVID-19 vaccine.

Rogan still believes that the vaccinations were ineffective against COVID-19. Moreover, he had long stated that big pharmaceutical companies made big profits with the vaccines. Rodgers also shared the same opinion.
