Joe Rogan criticized Bill Gates on the JRE. He asserted that Gates lacked the authority to advise people on maintaining a healthy diet. Rogan cited Gates’ poor physical condition as an example. During an episode, Joe Rogan sat down with dietitian Diana Rodgers and biochemist Rob Wolf. They discussed the contemporary trend in research advocating for the complete removal of meat from daily dietary habits.
The discussion also turned towards the prominent support of these studies by Bill Gates. Rogan then raised questions on why Gates aims to do this. Gates is a businessman and makes a huge amount of money. He said,
“Bill Gates keeps saying we got to eat less meat. And we got to cut our consumption of meat to be healthy. And that we are going to get used to these meat alternatives. When a guy like that says that I’m like, “are you making money because of this? Why are you saying that?” By the way, you look like s**t. Because if you’re eating those plant-based burgers or whatever the f**k you’re doing, you are obese. A guy like Bill Gates telling people when he’s got these breasts and this gut.”

Joe Rogan commented that Gates often advocates for plant-based products and advises against consuming meat, raising the suspicion that he might be profiting from these ventures. Rogan concluded by playfully criticizing Gates, suggesting that with his physical appearance, he’s in no position to dictate dietary choices to others.
Joe Rogan doesn’t think plant-based meat is the future of civilization
Joe Rogan is not a proponent of veganism and frequently expresses support for the consumption of meat. The UFC color commentator has also discussed the advantages of a carnivore diet, which involves exclusively eating meat, and how it has boosted his energy levels and assisted in weight loss.
During a podcast episode, Joe Rogan strongly voiced his criticism of individuals promoting plant-based meat and proclaiming it as the future. In Rogan’s view, plant-based meat is of poor quality and relies on monocrop agriculture, which he believes is detrimental to the environment.
He argued that it’s more environmentally responsible to purchase and consume beef rather than vegetables, as the latter often involves the sacrifice of land and other resources. Rogan then revealed that people who are supporting plant based meat, are also promoting monocrop agriculture, industrialized farming and very unhealthy food.
