UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan has gained immense popularity in the past decade. The fighter-turned-stand-up comedian has a strong presence on social media. He is also known for hosting the hugely popular MTV show ‘Fear Factor.’ Rogan’s podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ is the most popular podcast of all time, amassing over a billion listeners.

Recently, Joe Rogan was dragged into a controversy. Beer company Budweiser had advertised their ‘Bud Light’ beer cans with the face of Dylan Mulvaney. She is a trans activist and transitioned from male to female. Seemingly, Budweiser’s conservative consumer majority was not happy with it. They decided to upload videos of them destroying cans of Bud Light and upload them onto social media. One of whom was musician Kid Rock, who shot Bud Light cans in a video.

In an episode of ‘JRE,’ Joe Rogan and guest Sam Tallent were discussing the controversy. When talking about the Kid Rock video, Rogan said, “I loved Kid Rock’s video.” “Because I love that kind of thinking,” said Rogan. “Not even that I agree with it, I like wild people,” said Rogan referencing Kid Rock. “I like a dude who takes a machine gun to a stack of Bud Lights and says f*** Anheuser-Busch.

Joe Rogan went on to say that he disagrees with the backlash. His conservative fanbase criticized him in the comment section. The clip from the podcast has been bombarded with dislikes. Their fanbase demolished Joe Rogan and Sam Tallent under the video.

When Joe Rogan confronted former fighter Brendan Schaub on his career

Brendan Schaub is a retired heavyweight UFC contender and popular podcaster. The ‘Big Brown’ had a roller-coaster of a career in the UFC. The fighter was known for knocking out MMA legend Mirko Cro Cop. His last fight was against Travis Browne when he lost via knockout in the first round. His fighting career was on the ropes after the Browne fight. Schaub is also known to be Joe Rogan’s best friend.

In an episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ Rogan confronted him about his career. The UFC commentator felt that Brendan lacked in certain areas of his fighting. Joe Rogan believed Brendan Schaub would never reach the level of his contemporaries like Cain Velasquez or Junior Dos Santos. Alongside stand-up comedian Bryan Callen, the infamous ‘intervention’ conversation was a staple in Schaub’s career.

In the episode, Rogan said, “You looked very stiff, you didn’t look fluid, you didn’t look like you were well prepared,” referencing the Schaub vs Browne fight. “I don’t see you beating the elite guys. I don’t see you beating Cain Velasquez, I don’t see you beating Junior Dos Santos,” said Rogan as he brutally critiqued Schaub’s fighting skillset.

Later, Brendan Schaub officially retired from the UFC after UFC 181. The ex-fighter found himself a tentative stand-up comedy career. He alongside Bryan Callen host ‘The Fighter and the Kid podcast which is immensely successful.
