Andrew Tate is all over the headlines in recent days following his arrest in Romania. Popular podcast host Joe Rogan has given his take on the arrest and the outrage from people. In his recent podcast episode, the UFC commentator sat down with Barstool Sports founder, Dave Portnoy and discussed the “Top G”.
Internet is split over the arrest of controversial kickboxer Andrew Tate being arrested on charges of Human Trafficking. While Rogan and Portnoy hope justice is served, they are puzzled by people desperately wanting the charges to be true so that Tate faces punishment. Portnoy and Rogan believe this take from the public is blinded by their hate for the polarizing influencer.
“People actually want the charges to be true, which is like crazy because that would mean a lot of bad sh*t would’ve happened to a lot of people,” said Portnoy on the podcast. Rogan agreeing with the Barstool sports founder said, “Yes. I would rather the charges be incorrect.”
“If he really did all the things he’s saying, I hope that gets proved in court, and I hope he gets punished,” added Rogan. On the other hand, the long-time commentator also believes Tate should not be punished simply because of his controversial opinions.
Rogan has discussed the multi-millionaire kickboxer on his podcast in different episodes with different guests. Rogan himself does not agree with Tate and a lot of his wild takes. The podcaster believes his video clippings could turn out to be a bad influence on young children.

Joe Rogan reveals how he discovered Andrew Tate
Despite his busy schedule, Rogan is pretty active on his social media accounts. Instagram and Twitter are two of the most-used social media platforms by the podcaster. Tate completely took over every social-media consumer’s algorithm with his controversial clippings.
Rogan himself first came to know about the kickboxer’s rise to fame after inquiring from his kids.“He’s big on TikTok. My twelve-year-old and my fourteen-year-old asked me about Andrew Tate,” said Rogan. Tate was a former kickboxing champion before going viral for his “Top G” content.
The English kickboxer, similar to Rogan, played a part in a reality TV show. Tate now has fans in the MMA circuit and received a lot of support during his arrest. He also went viral in the MMA community for hanging out with UFC stars, Aljamain Sterling and Leon Edwards.
