The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl LVIII against the San Fransisco 49ers and made it back-to-back Super Bowls. Taylor Swift attended the event as expected. Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, had an impressive showing against the 49ers. Swift’s presence at NFL games after her relationship with Kelce began garnering media attention. Moreover, many NFL observers felt Swift took attention away from the game. Joe Rogan‘s friend and fellow comedian Shane Gillis had a take like that. Gillis’ friend and podcast co-host Matt McCusker did, too.

Gillis and McCusker were recently on Joe Rogan Experience, and they spoke about Taylor Swift. It was McCusker who first began bashing Swift as he felt she ruined the football game. Gillis agreed with the assessment. This is what he said about it.

I can't even watch it anymore because it cuts to her once or twice every time during the game, and I see her and I go, 'motherf*cker'......The Chiefs are incredible, and then it cuts to her up there in a box.

Gillis and McCusker’s remarks were due to Swift’s attention in the NFL games broadcast. Hardcore fans of the game felt that the broadcast should focus on the game rather than Swift. Nonetheless, Rogan felt that Swift didn’t deserve such criticism. This is what Rogan replied to McCusker and Gillis’s remarks.

Rogan also stated his surprise to see the amount of criticism Taylor Swift gets. After all, Rogan also faces criticism from the mainstream media from the left political demographic. Nonetheless, like Swift, the criticism has not halted Rogan’s success. He recently signed a $250 million deal with Spotify, a deal UFC CEO Dana White believed Rogan deserved.

Joe Rogan on the double standards in relation to Killer Mike’s arrest

LAPD recently arrested popular rapper and activist Killer Mike at the Grammy Awards. The reason for the arrest is a misdemeanor battery. Joe Rogan spoke of it in the recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience that had Shane Gillis and Matt McCusker.

Rogan remarked that there was a conspiracy theory going around that suggested that Killer Mike’s arrest happened due to his criticism of Joe Biden. He stated that Will Smith did not face any arrest after he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. As such, he felt that there was a double standard.

Rogan went on to state that people who pulled out knives on Sheriffs in Los Angeles did not face arrest. Moreover, Rogan also hilariously mentioned that the ‘slap gate’ incident might have changed the rules regarding altercations between celebrities.
