Joe Rogan brings on guests to talk about different things. Topics ranging from politics, current affairs, and fighting are discussed on the show. On an episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ Joe and guest Andrew Huberman have a conversation about the bad state of oceans. And the wild animals who are in danger due to the pollution of the sea.
“You know how we’re supposed to be not using plastic straws anymore because turtles are dying, you know they give you paper straws.” “It [plastic straws] got around a turtle when he was little and as he grew the shell became like an hourglass. It was really gross,” said Joe Rogan to Andrew Huberman. Due to pollution in the sea, the animals tend to be harmed brutally. The plastic that is dumped in the ocean can go as far as to kill them.
They also went in-depth on the matter saying, “There was this chart of countries in the world that pollute the ocean the most and it’s f***** stunning.” “If we stop using plastic straws, we’re not gonna put a f****** dent in it unless they do,” says Rogan referring to the minority of plastic usage in the US.

Joe Rogan and Andrew Huberman talk about Testosterone Optimization
Testosterone Optimization refers to the procedure of maximizing Testosterone in a man’s body. Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a popular method of increasing testosterone levels. This is done to produce more muscle mass and bone density. MMA fighters like Vitor Belfort are known to have undergone the procedure of TRT.
American neuroscientist Andrew Huberman explains the procedures of Testosterone Optimization to Joe Rogan on an episode. Huberman says, “When humans are taking low doses or reasonable doses of testosterone or they’re increasing their testosterone or going through puberty, effort and leaning into pain or challenge actually has the effect of making the body feel soothed and good.”
“It’s a drive, just like s** is a drive or drinking water when you’re thirsty is a drive,” says Huberman. “This stuff is all anchored within the hypothalamus.” To which Joe Rogan agrees and replies, “That makes sense why young men, in particular, are really driven to hard exercise and sports that are very difficult.”
Joe Rogan is known to speak about men’s health and role in society. The UFC commentator is an advocate for men’s health and beauty standards. Rogan has had various discussions regarding the topic on his podcast.
