“This is number one bulls**t” – Jon Jones is not ready to accept Khabib Nurmagomedov as the GOAT

The G.O.A.T. tag is a very prestigious and sensitive title in any field. Giving this tag to someone can uplift one’s reputation and can bring controversies as well. And it seems Jon Jones is not ready to accept Khabib Nurmagomedov as the G.O.A.T. of MMA.
Recently, Jon Jones took to Twitter to question Khabib Nurmagomedov’s legacy in the UFC. He wrote, “This is number one bulls**t. Unanimous decision over last minute replacement Al laquinta to become champion.” He added, “Conor McGregor is the only opponent he’s ever had that the general public actually knew. Catapulted my man to becoming the best ever, this is hilarious.”
There hasn’t been any response from ‘The Eagle’s’ side yet. But the fans are being divided into two which is making this issue a bit spicy. Whether Nurmagomedov will respond to this or not is something only time can tell.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s relationship with Islam Makhachev

Currently Nurmagomedov is mentoring and coaching his ‘friend’ Islam Makhachev for his fight against Oliveira at UFC 280. But how did they become so close to each other?
It has been reported that Makhachev and Nurmagomedov have been around each other for a quite long time. They know each other since their boyhood. Since both the fighters hail from The Republic of Dagestan, they both got each other as a training buddy.
They both used to train under the guidance of Nurmagomedov’s late father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. They have a huge mutual respect for each other and it is said that Makhachev’s intentionally not increasing his weight from the 155 pounds category was due to the fact that he didn’t want to face his friend Nurmagomedov.
Makhachev has already made a name for himself and having a great impact on his friend’s division. After Nurmagomedov retired from the UFC, Makhachev seems to gain control over the lightweight division in his friend’s absence. The baton has been passed and it seems Makhachev will be able to handle it quite well.
