Jon Jones recently had surgery and is currently undergoing recovery. His last fight did not go as planned due to an unfortunate pectoral injury. He will return around summertime this year. Meanwhile, one of his recent videos on social media showed him doing things he should not be doing. This has raised suspicion among fans as to the status of his recovery. Here is what happened:

The video is from Jon Jones‘ agent, Malki Kawa. It showed the UFC champion with the rugby players from the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs team. The video showed Jones as he tackled one of the players and got rough. Meanwhile, this was right after one of his recent serious surgery, because of which he backed out from his title defense.

UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones had surgery to shave bone spurs from his left elbow and to repair a torn pectoral tendon. The surgery was performed in California, and Jones has yet to return to active training. This forced him to withdraw from his title defense against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 in November 2023.

Jones’ doctor said that he has several bone chips and bone spurs that have grown in his left arm. He is expected to recover in about eight months, possibly returning to the octagon by mid-2024. Meanwhile, the interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall had suggested that Jon Jones give up his title. However, Jones responded to Aspinall’s callout, saying he found it hilarious. However, this recent video has raised concerns and disappointment among fight fans.
