“Added motivation” Jon Jones mounts a lengthy Twitter rant in response to fan mockery of latest pad workout, hints at fighting Francis Ngannou

Jon has stated he wishes to make his HW debut against Stipe Miocic or Francis Ngannou
Jon Jones has put the heavyweight division on notice but the problem is it’s been over two years since he first did so. This has led to a significant number of fans being turned off by his debut at heavyweight.
While Jon looks to be in better shape physically than he’s ever been since his anticipated move to heavyweight, fans feel the same doesn’t reflect in his striking.
What worked for Jon at Light Heavyweight was his reach mixed in with his flashy strikes, unafraid to experiment while inside the octagon itself. Compound this with an ever-present threat of simply being wrestled to a dominant loss and we get an idea of why he’s been as dominant as he has.
However many fans are afraid his wrestling might not be as effective against the big boys at heavyweight and his recent footage of hitting pads doesn’t instill any further confidence. In response to these criticisms, Jon posted a series of tweets addressing can’t comments and putting forth his side.

Jon Jones believes a fight against Franci Ngannou is back on the table

Firstly he addressed criticism of him taking too long to fight at heavyweight. Jon attributed that to fans simply being impatient calling it “a great problem to have” while acknowledging this to be the biggest criticism of him right now.
He then stated that everything he could do on his side, he was. “Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure in one of Dana‘s last interviews he stated, I am ready to go, just waiting to see what happens between Stipe and Francis, “ read the tweet as Jon said he was doing the only thing he could in the meanwhile, “packing pounds”
He then addressed criticisms of him looking slow on the pads. He simply chose to take it as “added motivation” saying, “I’ll push harder, can’t wait for you all to see your boy in actual fight shape. Everything has its process. “ Jon meanwhile has been in the process to get into fight shape since 2020, with no clear end in sight.
Jon then answered a few fans one of which revealed that while his heavyweight debut had been delayed from the initially intended September dates to November, the delay had made it possible so that, heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou could be among the choice of opponents.
Jon then went on to respond to a fan saying he didn’t look that slow in the footage, saying, “I personally don’t feel slow, I’m aware that I’m not in camp and I am in a bulking phase. But I like people judging that version of me, it could only work to my advantage”
