The interaction between fans and celebrities or in this case MMA fighters, is always spectacular. Often these interactions are sobre and wholesome. However once in a while, a difficult fan pops up amongst the crowd. However, UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones knows how to handle such characters.
The account AlphaWarfare on Instagram hosts challenges where fans tag their favourite UFC fighters in the comments and ask them questions. Fighters like Khamzat Chimaev, Paulo Costa, Belal Muhammad and Kevin Holland previously participated along with thousands of other fans.
This time also many MMA enthusiasts commented under the Instagram reel tagging their favourite UFC fighters. One fan tagged UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. “How abt we do coke this weekend and knockout some lads?” the fans wrote. However, Jones had an epic reply for the young lad. ” You’re a few years too late for that one buddy,” Jones wrote.
In a drug test conducted prior to his successful championship defense against Daniel Cormier at UFC 183, Jones had a positive result for cocaine metabolites. Jones vehemently denied ever using the substance, despite being admitted to rehab for the problem. “I had no right to be doing cocaine…,” he told MMA Fighting. Jones later acknowledged having tried cocaine once but insisted he wasn’t a fan.
Jon Jones versus Stipe Miocic for UFC 295 title fight
UFC fans have exciting news to look forward to. Dana White unveiled the epic matchup between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. This high-stakes title fight is locked in for November and will unfold within the iconic walls of Madison Square Garden, nestled in the heart of New York City.
Jon Jones stormed back onto the UFC Octagon in March, clinching the heavyweight championship with a dominant first-round submission victory over Ciryl Gane. Jones was on a three-year hiatus prior to this after reigning the Light-heavyweight division. Meanwhile, Stipe Miocic’s most recent octagon appearance traces back to UFC 260 in 2021. Unfortunately, that outing ended in a second-round knockout loss at the hands of Francis Ngannou. However, Miocic’s reputation as a seasoned warrior is undeniable.
This highly anticipated upcoming battle is poised to pit Jon Jones against Stipe Miocic in the co-main event of UFC 295. As the fight draws nearer, fans and fighters alike eagerly await the collision of these two exceptional UFC heavyweights.
