Jon Jones shuts down his haters who accused him of being a steroid-driven fighter before USADA by comparing terrific stats

Jones has taken time off from the UFC to properly bulk-up before his move to heavyweight

Jon Jones is arguably one of the most decorated MMA fighters of all time and has proved his capabilities on several occasions. The fighter has fought absolute killers throughout his career and was the youngest UFC champion. Jones has defended his light heavyweight title a record 11 times and has 16 finishes in UFC. Jones is a beast inside the octagon but unfortunately, his career is tinted with many questionable incidents.

Jones has faced a lot of backlash from fans for using PEDs twice in his career but the fighter seems to not care much about the haters. Jones posted statistics about fight records of him and other fighters pre and post-USADA on his Instagram ID. Jones shared records of fighters such as Johny Hendricks, Chris Weidman, and Vitor Belfort who all faced losses after the addition of USADA in UFC. On the contrary, Jones never lost any fight even after USADA. “Can’t really use the steroid excuse anymore, maybe he’s just lucky?” wrote Jones in the caption in a sarcastic way.

The statistics that Jones gave were correct, however, it is important to point out that Jones tested positive for PEDs twice after USADA came into UFC in 2015.

Jones plans to make his heavyweight debut at this event.

Jones was in his prime in the early 2010s and was demolishing everybody who went against him inside the octagon. In 2015, UFC announced a collaboration with USADA and started checking fighters randomly.

In 2016, Jones defeated Ovince Saint Preux to win the interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. However,  he was caught using illegal performance-enhancement drugs, clomiphene, and letrozole. Jones was suspended and his title unification bout against Daniel Cormier was scrapped.

Bones‘ got stripped of his title and was also given a 15 months suspension. After all that Jones came back and won the title again and defended it thrice before vacating it in 2020. Currently,  Jones is waiting for his heavyweight debut and the fans are excited about his return.
