Jon just went live on Instagram, saying that he still wants to fight Stipe in September, but that “The UFC has been playing little games” in getting the fight done. One can only speculate what those games could be, it could either be with the payout or related to the bout. Either way, the fans would be interested to see Jon complete and not present the fans with a new Tussle every day with the UFC.

A fan wrote on Twitter where the news was initially reported, “Jon thinks everyone is salivating over his return because that’s the mentality of champion of his status. It’s been 3 years and the HW division is at it’s best in years. He’s a great addition but not a missing piece anymore and he has no idea that’s the case.”

The sentiments for Jon are loud and clear to understand. Fans are looking forward to seeing Jon compete once more. In the MMA community, he is a divisive character.

Fans are divided between those who want to see him compete in order to see him lose because heavyweight is a new division for him and will be difficult to break into, and those who want to see him compete in order to continue witnessing him achieve greatness. In any case, his return will be a spectacle, to say the least.
