The Israel-Palestine conflict has had a ripple effect around the world. It certainly divided the UFC community into two sides. Now, Canadian psychologist and author, Jordan Peterson was condemned by the pro-Palestinian UFC personnel for his remarks supporting Israel. Peterson tweeted on X encouraging Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister to attack Hamas, the terrorist organization wreaking havoc in Gaza.

Peterson had a sizeable Muslim following on social media. However, with the tweet supporting Israel, they were lost. In his recent appearance on the Piers Morgan Show, Peterson regretted setting the tweet sizing the loss of his Muslim following. Farid Basharat, UFC bantamweight and younger brother of UFC lightweight, Javid Basharat took offense to Peterson’s words. The younger Basharat brother reposted the Jordan Peterson clip with the caption,

So he basically he said yes he regrets it but because he lost his Muslim following. He’s a joke, pathetic.

Both the Basharat brothers are from Afghanistan and are undefeated in professional MMA. They are not the only ones to condemn Peterson. Ali Abdelaziz, the manager of fighters from Team Khabib also tried to bash the psychologist. However, his tweet on X was lost in translation. Belal Muhammad, Khamzat Chimaev, and other Muslim fighters have already pledged their unyielding support for the Palestinians.

On the other hand fighters like Sean Strickland and Michel Pereira took the Israel side. Pereira donned the Israeli flag on his middleweight debut at UFC Fight Night 230. Recently, “Platinum” Mike Perry tweeted condemning the Israeli force’s actions on Palestinian civilians. Perry has been very vocal on X particularly because of the death toll of children in conflict.

Ali Abdelaziz tried to second Farid Basharat to condemn Jordan Peterson via tweet lost in translation

Ali Abdelaziz is the head of the MMA management firm, Dominance MMA. Abdelaziz’s entry into the UFC social circle was as the manager of the former lightweight champion of the UFC, Frankie Edgar. However, it was his association with Khabib Nurmagomedov that made him popular.

His clientele boasts the likes of Islam Makhachev, Justin Gaethje, Kamaru Usman, Belal Muhammad, Gilbert Burns, Vicente Luque, Paulo Costa, and Kayla Harrison to name a few.

Abdelaziz is a vocal supporter of former US president, Donald Trump. Interestingly, he has stated that war in Ukraine and Palestine would not have happened if Trump stayed in power. Recently, Abdelaziz tried to criticize Jordan Peterson by reposting the tweet of Farid Basharat.

However, a hilarious grammatical mistake occurred on his tweet eliciting humorous reactions on X. This is what Abdelaziz tweeted on X.

This guy is a coward, nobody should condemn the killings of women and children in any race or any religion

Abdelaziz phrased his message wrong as he wrote, ‘nobody should condemn’ instead of ‘everybody should condemn’. It needs to be noted that this is not the first time that he has uttered blunders on X. In the aftermath of UFC 284 with rumors of Islam Makhachev’s IV usage swirling, he posted a now-deleted tweet that claimed that IV usage is legal to some extent.
