Chris Rock was slapped on stage by Will Smith for making a joke about his wife, Jada Smith. Masvidal was asked if people should get slapped or beaten if they cross the lines with jokes. The hosts implied Colby Covington, a rival of Masvidal, who also crossed the line by attacking Masvidal’s wife, kids, and other personal stuff.

Masvidal recently was arrested for ambushing Covington at Papi’s Steakhouse in Miami. Jorge with a grim on his face said, “Because of some current situation, I am going to plead the fifth right now.” Masvidal pointed out that it was weird Will Smith played along with the joke at first and then immediately changed his mood after his wife’s reaction. “The only thing that I found funny is that he laughed originally and then when he looked at his chick…” said Masvidal.

After talking about the situation. “There’s the Chris Rock’s of the world. Oh, you got to kill me, man [laughs]. You got to kill me,” said Masvidal on being encountered with a situation like that of Chris Rock’s. After slapping Rock, Will Smith immediately turned his back and walked back to his seat, and further yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out your f**kin mouth!”

Masvidal later explained how getting slapped is more embarrassing than getting punched or choked. Jorge said getting slapped is the most disrespectful thing in Latin culture. “I have been slapped by chicks, by dudes…you know,” revealed Masvidal.

Masvidal’s recent ambush towards Covington had the MMA community in splits with one side agreeing with Jorge’s POV and the other criticizing Masvidal for harming Covington in public after they had just fought for twenty-five minutes in the octagon.
