Jorge Masvidal has always been a huge Donald Trump supporter and he has always backed Trump’s policies on the internet. Masvidal is one of the few MMA fighters who are willingly talking about their political views in this day and age of cancel culture. 

Recently, in UFC 287 Embedded series, Masvidal can be seen turning up at the MAR-A-LAGO hours after Donald Trump’s arraignment. In the video, Masvidal mentioned that he has a good reputation everywhere, including with former President Trump. According to the fighter, he was personally invited and didn’t sneak in.

He said: “I got good credit everywhere in every neighborhood. Now we’re in the Trump neighborhood. I got a personal invite, I didn’t even sneak in here. They actually invited me to be here. So I’m more than honored. This is Trump Nation.”

During the crowded rally, Trump raised his criticism towards Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg for an alleged politically motivated attack. He also called the judge who was responsible for the case someone who hates Trump’s policies.

Kevin Holland’s coach describes the physical altercation between Jorge Masvdial and Holland

Jorge Masvidal is quite famous when it comes to getting into verbal and physical altercations with other fighters, especially outside the octagon. Recently, the ‘Gamebred‘ almost got into blows with UFC middleweight fighter, Kevin Holland at the athlete hotel lobby. 

Details of the UFC 287 altercation have now come to light as Holland’s longtime striking coach, Durwyn Lamb gave an interview to InsideFighting. According to Lamb, Kevin Holland earlier used to be a fan of Masvidal however, his opinions started to change after Masvidal sucker punching Leon Edwards and Colby Covington in the past. At the lobby, both fighters met, and after a few verbal exchanges, things got heated up.

He said: “Kevin actually kind of liked Masvidal before that, but I think what happened was is that [Kevin] didn’t like the sucker punch deal with the Leon [Edwards] stuff. [Kevin] didn’t like the stuff with Colby Covington, and it just kind of rubbed him the wrong way… Some words [were] exchanged online back and forth and then they ran into each other here… [Kevin] didn’t like that persona, the way [Masvidal] was carrying himself.”

For fans it was nothing but just a  classic Masvidal moment however, this certainly has raised anticipation towards his fight with Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.
