When Julianna Pena and Amanda Nunes went to war at UFC 269, nobody in this world expected the outcome that came. Julianna Peña shocked the world when she defeated Amanda Nunes at UFC269. Juliana not only went toe-to-toe against Amanda, she even submitted her in the 2nd round.

Julianna Peña defeated, one of the greatest female fighters on earth and she caused a major upset in doing so. She handed Nunes her first loss in over seven years. Nunes currently has a professional record of 21-5. Pena, on the other hand, has a record of 11-4.

Both the fighters showed amazing spirit and gave everything in the octagon. While the much-expected rematch is yet to happen, both fighters will coach their team for the new season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

In her recent interview with TMZ Sports, Julianna praised Amanda and said that Amanda has given so much to the sport. Juliana said: “I would say that I absolutely respect everything that Amanda has done for the sport and done for women’s MMA. She has elevated the sport for having such an accolade of accomplishments.”

Juliana penna also told that she still thinks she has to earn so much more and that she still feels like a contender even after winning the belt. Julianna even praised Amanda and said that Amanda has given so much to the sport. Juliana said: “You know for me I still feel like a contender I still feel like there’s a target on my back and I still feel like there’s more work to be done I’m not content with just oh you got the belt no you’re not a champ till you defend it.”

The New season of The Ultimate Fighter is on the way, The Ultimate Fighter 30 will start airing on May 3, and the show will conclude with Nunes fighting Peña in a rematch for the UFC women’s bantamweight title. 

In the latest video shared by ESPN, both fighters were seen choosing their contestants for TUF 30. Pena and her side were showing interest in experienced fighters, whereas the other side was more interested in contestants who were undefeated or had an impressive record.

Julianna, talking about her role as a coach, said: “This is the 30th season of the Ultimate Fighter. It is the biggest and the baddest season they have had. And for me, being a coach on TUF is a dream come true.”
