YouTuber and fitness influencer Bradley Martyn has been making waves in the combat sports community due to his controversial comments. This all started when Martyn invited many pioneers from both the MMA and boxing world on his podcast. He then asked them if they could beat him in a street fight. UFC BMF champion Justin Gaethje and lightweight Dan Hooker recently gave their own thoughts on the debate.

Both Gaethje and Hooker were present in Australia for UFC 293 and gave their thoughts during the UFC 30-year press conference. During the press conference, a fan asked both lightweights if they could beat Martyn in a street fight. Hooker replied first and was confident that he will be able to beat the bodybuilder. Gaethje then replied, “All you gotta do is last for 20 seconds and he is f***ed”. The fan then revealed that Martyn is 260 pounds, Justin Gaethje laughed it off and said, “Okay, 10 seconds”.

Martyn invites various combat sports athletes to his podcast and has made it a trend to ask them about a street fight against him. Many UFC fighters have explained to him that size is not everything and it is not easy to fight a professional. However, Martyn believes that his sheer size will help him to throw a fighter down to the ground and dominate them on the ground.

There is no doubt that Martyn has an excellent physique and height, however, it is no joke going against a professional fighter. Martyn recently tried his hand at grappling against comedian Bryan Callen and struggled majorly with him. It remains to be seen if Martyn continues his controversial take on combat sports athletes.

Newly crowned middleweight champion Sean Strickland is a pretty decent grappler. Even though he didn’t have to use his grappling skills in his most recent fight at UFC 293. Strickland promised to demolish Martyn if they ever met in a street fight. He even called out Martyn to come down to fight him.

Strickland recently gave an interview before UFC 293 and spoke to UFC reporter Nina Marie Daniele. She told Strickland that Martyn had called him out for a street fight ahead of his upcoming fight. However, Strickland did not seem to recognize Martyn and warned him not to talk about fighting him. He also vowed to take Martyn’s life if they ever face off in a street fight.

Martyn has not replied to Strickland’s comments but there is no doubt that he will clear up any misunderstandings. Strickland is enjoying the life of a champion and may have even forgotten about the fitness influencer. Fans will look forward to seeing Strickland potentially appearing on Martyn’s podcast in the future.
