Everybody remembers the longstanding feud between UFC stars Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. UFC 229 happened nearly five years ago. Khabib Nurmagomedov delivered a highlight victory over Conor McGregor via submission.

However, even after all this time, the rivalry and disdain between these two UFC legends has not ended. Khabib believes McGregor has repeatedly crossed the line with his trash-talking antics. Khabib Nurmagomedov recently engaged in a candid conversation with Patrick Bet-David on the PBD podcast.

Patrick Bet-David discussed the historic bout between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov during the discussion. Expanding on the topic, Nurmagomedov elaborated, “If you are stu*id, what can you do? You cannot do anything. How can you control someone else when you can’t control your family? You have to be quiet. Just don’t talk in front of other people.” According to the UFC Hall of Famer, McGregor is someone who struggles to maintain self-control.

In 2018, the UFC hosted one of its most historic fights. Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov headlined the UFC 229 main event, hosted at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Three minutes into the fourth round, Khabib secured a tight choke around McGregor’s neck and submitted him.

One of the most notorious moments in the UFC was when McGregor mocked the passing of Nurmagomedov’s father. Even today, the two of the most remarkable fighters have nothing positive to say about each other. Their fight shattered all PPV records in UFC history, and Khabib got elevated into superstardom.

Bet-David was keen to know if Khabib took McGregor’s derogatory remarks to heart. He enquired about this both before and after the night. In response, the Dagestani fighter offered a thought-provoking perspective.

Nurmagomedov issued a sharp response to Conor McGregor’s behavior. He said, “I like to listen to people when they talk. It’s very interesting because you can listen to them and you can understand where is their IQ. You understand what I mean?” Khabib later jumped off the cage to attack the coaching team of McGregor, and all hell broke loose. Nurmagomedov and Conor were escorted out of the octagon. They were fined along with a few-month suspension ban on each.
